We’re very excited to announce that Josef – Born in Grace has been selected to screen at the 6th Dehradun International Film Festival! Victor Banerjee will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the festival, and our director, Susant Misra, will be the guest of honour this year. Subrat Dutta and Ashok Mahapatra will also be attending the festival this year.
This screening is very special to us because the film was shot in Uttarakhand. It will be the first screening of the film in the state. Victor Banerjee has very fond memories of Uttarakhand and often reminisced about his younger days with us during the shoot. He even helped Vaidehi Krishnan, our costume designer, to make Father O’Hara’s costume authentic using his experiences.
The festival runs from 17th – 19th September 2021 at the Silvercity Multiplex, Rajpur Road, Dehradun. Free passes for the film are available from Hotel Starwood, Hotel Saffron Leaf, and Silvercity Multiplex.
Update: After an amazing screening as the closing film for the festival, Victor Banerjee was felicitated with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Subrat Dutta was also honoured with the Best Actor at the Dehradun International Film Festival over the weekend.
