“The Salon” is officially selected to screen at the South Asian Short Film Festival

Our short film “The Salon” is going to be screened at the South Asian Short Film Festival at 1:00 PM on 5th August 2022 at Nandan Cinemas, Kolkata, West Bengal.

The film is about a middle-aged woman who goes to get a haircut, and during a conversation with her hairstylist, has to come to terms with her guilt and grief. A film focused on normal people, in normal everyday situations, that affect us in very fundamental ways.

It’s interesting to see the connection between strangers which may be brief, but are very meaningful. The director has brought that out through the conversation between these two characters.

If you have watched our film and enjoyed our work, show us your love and appreciation by following us on Social Media. Please share your feedback and reviews with us.

Directed & written by a young and talented independent filmmaker Nitya Misra & presented by UA Kathachitra. The Salon had its World Premiere at IDSFFK in December 2021, its international premiere at IFF Stuttgart in July 2022, and has been selected at premiere short film festivals around the world.
