UA KATHACHITRA has proudly begun 2021 by completing the filming of our new short film “THE SALON”. In line with our commitment to promoting new talent, the film has been written, directed, and edited by the extremely talented Nitya Misra. Trained under the tutelage of acclaimed ad film director Prakash Varma, she entered feature film production as an Assistant Director to Susant Misra on Josef – Born in Grace.
The main cast of the film is Sudha Belawadi, Beesu Suresha, and Eric Leivang. Nitya Misra is supported by Vaidehi Krishnan and Ishan Mahapatra as Executive Producers, Rahul Accot as Director of Cinematography, and Simran Gupta as Assistant Director. Vaidehi Krishnan
was also the Costume Designer for the film and brought to life Nitya’s directorial visions.
The film is currently in post-production and we look forward to sharing it with everyone once it has been completed.
